In January of 2005, the humble Wash Wizard opened its doors to cars big and small, offering a variety of wash and detailing options. But after three and a half years, our family’s wizarding skills were tested greatly by the 2008 EF-2 tornado that brought damage to several homes and businesses in the Millard area. Our roof was torn away from the building and discarded several blocks away, and in a bizarre stroke of luck we soon had an identity beyond simply providing great, deep cleansing solutions for vehicles.

Residents in the neighborhood began referring to us as “the car wash that was hit by the tornado,” or “the tornado car wash” – we knew our business would be forever linked to that event, and thus the “Tornado Wash” was born. After a decade of serving the Millard area, and as a family owned business, we don’t take for granted the benefits of a fresh start, and offer that “new car feel” to all of our customers with a little dose of humor and humility on the side.
